Come hangout with us on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Goodreads and at Black Pearls Magazine. We are hosting online parties, book chats, reading challenges and more!
The Sankofa Literary Society strives to connect readers, authors, publishers, librarians, independent booksellers and book event coordinators as we read featured books as a group. We hope you will join the Sankofa Literary Society in supporting new or independently published authors and enjoy all the benefits that this program can offer. Thank you signing up for the club today!
Here are the amazing books we are reading in 2023. This is all about unity, expanding our reading selections and just having fun! The only thing ask is for you is to tell friends about the great books and to attend a monthly discussion about the books on Black Pearls Magazine’s Facebook page.

The Sankofa Literary Society is for anyone who is interested in writing books, publishing books, reading new books, preserving the art and exploring our stories. As a co-ed reading group, we will review the books of the month, travel to local events, attend library functions and host our own social gatherings. Spades and game nights will be a part of our norm!
We have created an entire community solely for literary reviewers, booktubers, podcast/radio hosts, authors, book clubs, and book discussion groups. The Sankofa Literary Society chapters are gathering place for all book lovers who want to share their reviews and love for literature.
The purpose of this group is to meet new, and exciting book lovers in a social setting to develop lasting friendships and to connect with others in your city who like to attend literary events.
You are the people who make bestsellers happen! The Sankofa Literary Society loves book clubs and reader’s groups because we know they are the foundation of the publishing industry!
